The Director General of TVP has announced that some of the 13 competing countries will travel to Warsaw to record their performances.
Dziennik Eurowizyjny reports that at today’s Junior Eurovision Press Conference, that some delegations will be travelling to Warsaw to film their performances for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
Konrad Smuga explained that originally all thirteen broadcasters had been invited to record their performances in Warsaw, but some have opted to record in their home countries. Spain is one of the broadcasters to state that they will be recording in their own country.
The broadcasters that will be travelling to Warsaw to film their performances have opted to do so mainly due to the financial cost of creating their own stage in their home country.
It is not exactly known when the delegations will be travelling or which delegations will be travelling to the Polish capital. Dziennik Eurowizyjny reports that most of the delegations will travel to Warsaw before the end of October.
Mr Smuga went on to add that some delegations have as a result accelerated their plans for staging their performances. TVP will be working with each of the delegations to ensure that the performances are equal e.g. a similar scene, a similar technique or the same number of cameras and producers.
In addition a common song will still be recorded for the competition. Separate recordings will take place for ‘Move the world’.
