Ida Nowakowska-Herndon, Rafał Brzozowski and Małgorzata Tomaszewska have been revealed as the presenters of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
The presenters were revealed at a press conference at TVP headquarters in Warsaw today. The hosts will be presenting the contest live from Warsaw, while each of the acts will be in their home countries this year.
Ida is a Polish-American dancer, actress and TV personality. She has appeared in the films “Bandit” and “Out of Reach” with Steven Seagal. While studying in university she also worked as a dancer on a tour with Bruno Mars and Cee Lo Green and has performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Ida was a judge in the American talent show “The World’s Best”, and last year, she became the host of TVP’s popular morning show “Pytanie na śniadanie” (Question for Breakfast). Last year, she co-hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Gliwice. This makes her only the third person to host Junior Eurovision twice and the first to host consecutive contests.
Rafał is a singer and television presenter. He began his music career by participating in talent shows on TVP in 2011. His debut single “Tak blisko” (So close) was a hit in 2012 and was the first of many successes for the singer. In 2017, he took part in the Polish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest with “Sky Over Europe” and hosted the Polish national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest later that year. Last year, he was a member of the Polish jury for Eurovision 2019.
Małgorzata is a psychology graduate but started her career in the television business as a sports presenter. She took part in the 4th edition of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. In May 2019, she became the co-host of “Pytanie na śniadanie” and currently hosts “The Voice Of Poland”.
Also attending the press conference was the Polish representative Alicja Tracz. Alicja will be performing “I’ll Be Standing”, which was written and composed by Andrzej Gromala (Gromee) and his wife Sara Chmiel-Gromala.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest takes place on November 29. Thirteen countries are competing in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. They are:
