Five more public broadcasters have ruled out participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Warsaw, Poland.
Estonia and the Czech Republic have ruled out debuting in the contest this year, while Romania, Slovenia and San Marino will not be returning to the contests stage according to Eurofestivales. To date nine countries have either confirmed their participation or interest in participating in this years contest in the Polish Capital.
Romania last participated in the competition in 2009 having made its debut at the first contest in 2003. Slovenia and San Marino both took to the contests stage in 2015 for the last time, before withdrawing from the competition.
Junior Eurovision 2020
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The competition is being hosted by the Polish public broadcaster TVP, after Viki Gabor took victory with the song “Superhero”. The show will be staged in a TV studio facility in Warsaw, not a large arena as has been seen in previous years.
To date, the following countries have confirmed participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Poland:

- Ireland
- Kazakhstan
- Netherlands
- Poland
- Russia
- Spain
- Ukraine
