A total of 120 songs have been submitted to CyBC as part of the broadcasters search for Eurovision 2020.
CyBC has received a total of 120 song submissions, as the broadcaster looks to find the Cypriot entry for Eurovision 2020. CyBC is continuing to use its internal selection process that has been in place since the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden.
As of the start of October, three artists were reported to be in the running to represent Cyprus in Rotterdam. Cypriot and Greek media speculated that the proffered artist is one of the two male singers. According to reports Ian Stratis and Vangelis Kakouriotis are the two male singers who are being considered by CyBC.
At the 2019 contest, Cyprus was represented by internally selected artist Tamta and her song “Replay”. She finished in 13th position in the Grand Final with 109 points.

Cyprus debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981. Their best result in the contest comes from their 2018 entrant Eleni Foureira, who placed 2nd with her song “Fuego”. Cyprus withdrew from the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 due to financial difficulties, but returned again in 2015 where they were represented by John Karagiannis.
