Two members of the jury who will help to determine the acts competing in the radio semi-finals of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2020 have been revealed.
James Benedict Thomas and Bryan Rice have revealed that they are members of the jury for DR P4’s semi-finals for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019. James Benedict Thomas is a welsh born songwriter and producer who has worked in the Danish music industry for a number of years. While Bryan Rice has attempted to represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in both 2010 and 2014.
The two will be part of a jury of nine music professionals that will select nine songs to be played on DR P4 throughout January 2020. The songs will be voted on by the listeners, with the top three advancing to the final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.
The three songs selected through the radio semi-final will go on to join seven songs selected by DR to compete in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2020. The final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be held on March 7 in the Royal Arena in Copenhagen.

Denmark debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 alongside Austria and the United Kingdom. To date Denmark has won the contest on three occasions, the first being in 1963 when Grethe & Jorgen Ingmann performed “Dansevise”. Denmark won the contest again in 2000 represented by the Olsen Brothers, their most recent victory came in 2013 when Emmelie de Forest performed “Only Teardrops”. Denmark failed to qualify for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 and 2016.
