The Grand Final of the 64th Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 18th at the Expo Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel. Forty-one artists will take to the stage over three nights to perform their contributions for the contest, fighting to become the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

Over the next week, all of the artists will have the chance to rehearse on stage and make any last minute changes to their performance before the live broadcasts. Today, nine countries will rehearse for the first time.

Rehearsal schedule for Monday May 6th

08:45 CET // First rehearsals for today commence in 15 minutes time with Srbuk from Armenia.

08:59 CET // Welcome to Day 3 of rehearsals at Expo Tel Aviv!

Armenia: Srbuk – Walking Out

09:03 CET // Srbuk is alone on stage for this performance.

09:04 CET // There are lots of quick changes of camera angles and Srbuk grabs the camera at one point.

09:07 CET // The LED screens show glass shattering, presumably during the high notes (We could not hear the first run through).

09:09 CET // A technical crew are currently fixing the projector in the Press Centre. Hopefully we will have audio for the rest of Armenia’s run throughs.

09:14 CET // The sound has been restored for Armenia’s second through.

09:15 CET // Srbuk drops to the floor before the last chorus and rises to sing the high notes.

09:21 CET // The main projector in the Press Centre is currently being replaced.

09:27 CET // Third run through for Armenia.

09:28 CET // Dry ice has been added for the start of the song.

09:30 CET // The breaking glass appears on the screen as CGI and pyrotechnics have also been added.

Ireland: Sarah McTernan – 22

09:40 CET // The staging is 50’s diner themed.

09:42 CET // Sarah is joined on stage by two dancers. The main prop is a diner table, which is spun around at the end of the song.

09:45 CET // Sarah missed some of her in the cues in the first run through from getting up and off the table.

09:51 CET // The LED’s feature comic strips which tell the story of the song.

09:53 CET // Sarah has hit her cues this time.

09:54 CET // The floor turns into a starry night during the bridge while Sarah lays on the table.

10:02 CET // After a restart, the third run through gets underway.

10:07 CET // No major changes in this run through. Sarah seems more comfortable with staging, even though there is still a slight problem when Sarah sits up on the table after the bridge.

10:14 CET // In a change to the earlier schedule, Latvia will now rehearse instead of Moldova.

10:16 CET // The performance is now in colour instead of black and white in Supernova.

10:17 CET // The LED background changes from a starry night to a sunrise through a window.

10:19 CET // Similar to Supernova, the performance is filmed in 16:9, giving it a cinematic feel.

10:26 CET // Latvia are testing out different camera angles during this second through.

10:37 CET // Carousel had to restart their third run through.

10:43 CET // No changes on this run through.

Switzerland: Luca Hänni – She Got Me

10:57 CET // Luca starts off alone before being joined by four dancers.

10:59 CET // Most of the dance moves from the music videos are present in the performance.

11:04 CET // Similar to Armenia, lots of camera angles in this performance.

11:10 CET // Luca does a walk at the beginning of the song, similar to Fuego.

11:12 CET // A blurred slow-motion effect is used on Luca before the last chorus.

11:21 CET // The backing vocals and main vocals are balanced against each other.

11:23 CET // Fireworks have been added when on the last drop of the song. The best run through for Switzerland by far.
