Welsh broadcaster S4C has revealed more information regarding their Junior Eurovision performance.
Ahead of the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, S4C has revealed to Eurovoix.com the reasoning behind their performance, explaining that it has been inspired by the message of the song:
We must fight to preserve the beauty of our world and appreciate the planet. The costumes are a nod towards eco warriors and the amazing dance choreography (by Elan Isaac) sees the performers in warrior mode and also enraptured by the beauty of our planet.
The broadcaster also revealed that the four dancers joining Manw on stage are from “ysgol ddawns Anti Karen”, a dance school in Caernarfon. Gwen, Nel, Nel, and Sian all took part in the opening number of the Chwilio am Seren final, the show that chose Wales’ Junior Eurovision entrant. One of these dancers will also be the spokesperson in charge of revealing Wales’ points at the contest.
Who is Manw?
Manw Lili Robin was born in 2005 in Rhosgadfan, Wales. Active in the singing industry since 2014, Manw is no stranger to competitions, having performed at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and Urdd National Eisteddfod on numerous occasions. In 2014, she was featured in the Welsh version of the film “The Secret of Kells”, where she played the part of Awen. The young singer currently attends Ysgol Glanaethwy, a drama school in Bangor.

Wales will participate for the first time at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year in Minsk, Belarus. They will be represented by Manw and her song “Perta”.
