This morning the first wave of tickets for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 went on sale.
The first wave of tickets for the Eurovision 2018 Grand Final went on sale this morning and sold out within around half an hour. Being sold today were standing and golden circle tickets for the Grand Final. The next ticket sale will beย December 20th, which all pricing categories will be available to purchase for the Grand Final, included seated tickets.
More tickets, including tickets for the semi-finals, will be released in January following the semi-final allocation draw, which will take place on Monday 29th January 2018. It has been revealed that there will be four waves of ticket sales in total.
The 63rd Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Lisbon, Portugal next year. The contest is to take place at the Altice Arena. The first semi-final will take place on 8th May, the second semi-final on 10th May, and the Grand Final will take place on 12th May. This is the first time Portugal has hosted a Eurovision event.
A total of 43 countries will take part in the 2018 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. This includes Russia, as they return to the contest after a year break. The 43 participating countries are:

The official slogan for next yearโs contest is โAll Aboard!โ, and was chosen to represent a celebration of Europe and music.ย The slogan was inspired by Lisbonโs longstanding history as an important global seaport and the importance of the ocean in Portugalโs history.
