Ambra Succi, choreographer of the 2012 winning entry “Euphoria”, will choreograph Jana Burceska’s “Dance Alone” this May.
FYR Macedonia will have their routine choreographed by Ambra Succi, who choreographed “Euphoria” by Loreen, that won Eurovision for Sweden back in 2012. Ambra is currently in Skopje with Jana Burceska working on the routine for the Macedonian entry “Dance Alone”. Ambra also choreographed and performed in the “Dance Alone” music video.
Ambra spoke to Text.mk and said:
“She is young, very sophisticated, I want to present her in the best way. She has sexy long legs and I need to use that in the staging. She has confidence, she is a strong and independent woman”
She also stated that the whole choreography was created in just 8 hours. “Dance Alone” was selected out of more than 200 songs received world-wide. The song selection process was held over the past couple of months, with an open call for songs being made in December.
Jana Burčeska will be representing FYR Macedonia at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine, with her song “Dance Alone”. The song was revealed on Stisni Play, a show hosted by the Head of Press for the Macedonian delegation, Aleksandra Jovanovska. During the program MKRTV announced the full details about the creative and artistic team responsible for the song, video and stage performance.
Jana has travelled to multiple pre-party events such as the London Eurovision Party and Eurovision In Concert in Amsterdam to promote her song. Now herself and the team will work on the staging and choreography before the rehearsals start in Kyiv in a few weeks.

[tw-accordion class=””] [tw-accordion-section title=”FYR Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest”] FYR Macedonia has had a string of poor results in recent years failing to reach the final every year since 2012. The country debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998, however two years earlier they attempted to participate but was knocked out in the pre-qualifying round. In 2016 they were represented by Kaliopi for a second time with the song “Dona”, she missed out on the final finishing in 11th in her semi-final. FYR Macedonia’s best result to date is a 12th place finish in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest represented by Elena Risteska and the song “Ninanajna”.[/tw-accordion-section] [/tw-accordion]
Now, Macedonia’s chances to qualify just increased. A lot. 🙂
