Eduard Romanyuta the Ukrainian born singer who represented Moldova at Eurovision 2015, is headlining the ‘Grand Euro Party’ on May 12 in Kyiv.
Grand Euro Party is being held on the Friday before the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The event which is being organised and headlined by Eduard Romanyuta is being held at the Olmeca Plage.
Confirmed guests at the event are:
- Emmelie de Forest – Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 for Denmark
- Dana International – Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 for Israel returned to the contest in 2011
- Poli Genova – Represented Bulgaria at Eurovision 2011 and 2016
- Bojana Stamenov – Represented Serbia at Eurovision 2015
- Nina Sublatti – Represented Georgia at Eurovision 2015
- Eldar Gasimov – Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 for Azerbaijan
- Morandi
- Alexandra Stan
- DJ MEG
- Anna Nikonova
A number of Eurovision 2017 participants are also stated to be attending, however their names are to be announced closer to the time of the event. For those unable to attend the ‘Grand Euro Party’ in person, the event will be streamed online on YouTube and broadcast by UA:Перший. Eduard Romanyuta represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. With the song “I Want Your Your Love”, he finished in 11th in his semi final. His selection as the Moldovan entrant was marred by protests from Moldovan artists who did not agree with the Ukrainian singer being able to represent their country.
A total of 42 countries are to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Returning to the Eurovision stage are Portugal and Romania who both took a year out from the contest. Bosnia & Herzegovina and Russia have however withdrawn from the contest. Bosnia & Herzegovina has withdrawn due to financial difficulties at the national broadcaster, BHRT. While Russia has withdrawn following Julia Samoilova being banned by Ukrainian Authorities from entering Ukraine. The 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is being held on the following dates:
- Semi Final 1 – 9 May
- Semi Final 2 – 11 May
- Final – 13 May
