Manel Navarro has today released the acoustic version of his song for Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, “Do It For Your Lover”.
Today the Spanish entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Manel Navarro has released the acoustic version of his song for Kyiv. The acoustic version of “Do It For Your Lover”, comes as the young performers is in the midst of promoting across Europe. In the past week he has traveled to the United Kingdom and Israel, while tomorrow he will be performing alongside thirty five other singers at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam.
Manel won the Spanish selection show Objetivo Eurovision 2017 after tying with Mirela, with a total of 54 points each. In the end, the jury controversially had the final say and selected Manel to represent Spain in Kyiv, Ukraine. The final of Objetivo Eurovision 2017 was the least watched Spanish national final for over 10 years, with just 1.449 million viewers watching the show. Viewing figures have been falling annually since over 2.6 million viewers watched the final of the Spanish selection in 2010.
Manel Navarro is 20 years old and first rose to fame regionally when he won Catalunya Teen Star in 2014. In 2015 he signed with Sony Music Spain and went on to go viral on Spotify with the song “Candle”, the song went on to be played over 1 million times.
