Tonight the second semi final of Depi Evratesil takes place in Armenia, with the final just one week away, who will make it to Eurovision 2017?
Just four singers remain in the Armenian selection process for Eurovision 2017 and by the end of this evening we will be down to the final two. Last week saw the first of two semi finals held as the contest nears its final stages. In last weeks show Lucy failed to impress both the judges and public ending last with the jury and second last with the public. While Vahe Aleksanyan finished 2nd on the jury vote, the public vote left him with just 7.9% of the vote.
The show tonight sees the use of an international jury headed up by Christer Björkman, the Head of Delegation for Sweden and the man behind Melodifestivalen. Mr Björkman will be joined by 10 music industry representatives from across Europe. Alongside the international jury, the Armenian public will once again be able to vote for the singers they want to see in next weeks show.
Only four jurors singers remain the contest, with sisters Anush and Inga, as well as Essai and Hayko still left with singers. Competing tonight for a place in the final are:
- Anush Arshakyan – Marta
- Essai – Artsvik
- Hayko – Egine
- Inga Arshakyan – Syuzanna Melqonyan
The final of Depi Evratesil will take place on December 24, with the winner going on to represent Armenia at the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.
