Today the Swiss broadcaster SRF (along with other Swiss broadcasters RTS, RSI and RTR) has announced its public call for songs in the search for Switzerland’s Eurovision 2017 representative in Ukraine. The public submissions window opened this morning at 8am and will close on 24th October.

Unlike previous years, there will be no public online platform for the public to view. Instead, a 20 member jury will decide the songs and artists that will be chosen to perform at a televised national final that will take place on 5th February 2017. The winner will be chosen solely by televoting.

More details about the selection process and call for songs can be found here.

This year, Rykka represented Switzerland with her song ‘The last of our kind’ and failed to reach the final after placing last in the second semi final in Stockholm.
