The grand final of the 61st Eurovision Song Contest is just over 24 hours away. Before the grand final begins, here’s an update on how this year’s entries are charting.
We reported earlier in the week that Russia were making the greatest chart impact following the first semi-final. Despite close competition from Australia, Sergey is still having the greatest chart impact, making the iTunes top 100 in 14 countries and the top 200 in a further 5. The song is currently in the top 40 in Finland, Sweden, Belarus and Estonia, whilst remaining number 1 in Russia. Australia on the other hand are currently in the top 100 in 11 countries and the top 200 in 18. The song has made a particular impact in Sweden, where the song is currently at number 3.
Other notable chart impacts have come from Belgium, Ukraine and Latvia. Belgium have made the top 100 in 10 countries, Ukraine in 8 countries, and Latvia in 5. Sweden and France are also continuing to perform well in the charts. “If I Were Sorry” remains in the top 100 in 9 countries, and France in 6.
Only time will tell whether these chart performances will impact the voting on Saturday.
