
Norway has selected the four young musicians who will be competing in the final of their selection for Eurovision Young Musicians 2016.
The semi finals were held earlier this week with a total of eight young musicians from across Norway competing to make it into the final. The four finalists were selected from two semi finals which will be broadcast on NRK P2 on March 3 and March 13 as well as on NRK 2 on March 13. The four finalists were selected by violinist Juliet Jopling, clarinetist Andreas Sundén, Director of the Oslo Philharmonic Ingrid Røynesdal and jury president Arild Erikstad..
The four finalists are:
- Ludvig Gudim. Violin. 16 years from Oslo
- Trond Sagbakken. Trumpet. 17 years from Gausdal / Oslo
- Michael Andreas Grolid. Viola. 18 years from Ås
- Inga Våga Gaustad. Violin. 17 years from Nesoddtangen
The final takes place live on NRK 1 on March 19 and will be presented by Tine Thing Helseth and Hans Olav Brenner. The winner of the selection will represent Norway at Eurovision Young Musicians 2016 in Cologne, Germany.
