Today the Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO has announced the ten acts participating in the Slovenian national final for 2016.
They were chosen by Alenka Godec, Gaber Radojević, Jernej Vene and Slovenian head of delegation Aleksander Radic. Here they are:

- D Base
- ManuElla
- Nuša Derenda
- Raiven
- Regina
- SAN Di EGO
- Sebastijan Lukovnjak
- Žan Serčič
Nuša Derenda represented Slovenia in 2001 and came 7th, still the joint best Slovenian result ever. Regina came 21st in 1996 for Slovenia. The show will take place on 27 February at 20:00 CET.
