Ireland: Another finalist decided

Two more finalists have been decided
Another artist qualifies for the grand final of Junior Eurovision Éire 

Tonight, semi-final 2 of Junior Eurovision Éire, the Irish national selection to select their entry for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place. One more artist progressed to the grand final which will take place on November 8th. The artists competing in tonight’s semi-final were:

  • Aimee Banks – Réalta Na Mara
  • Ellie Power – Mo Ghrá
  • Na Cork Rappers – Is Maith Liom É
  • Ashley Tubridy – Múr Samhraidh
  • Kelly Irwin – Fíor Chairde
  • Maude Adams – Dubh ‘is Gorm
  • Ruby Buckley – Síocháin
  • Ellie Quinlan – Taisteal an Domhain

The following two artists made it through to a final duel, these were:

  • Aimee Banks – Réalta Na Mara
  • Kelly Irwin – Fíor Chairde

The qualifier was decided on jury vote. The jurors Stiofán Ó Fearail and Brian Kennedy both voted for Aimee Banks to qualify, whereas Niamh Kavanagh abstained from voting.

Therefore, Aimee Banks will join David Kennedy and his song “Fuar” (“Cold”) in the grand final on November 8th.

The third semi final of Junior Eurovision Éire will take place on October 25th.
