Online voting is to be introduced for this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest, viewers outside of the 16 participating countries will be able to vote online during the televoting window. The vote will not be converted into points allocated during the voting, but will be used to decide the winner of the “Online Award” which will be presented to the winner in the Press Conference after the show.
The voting will work by directing those viewers on the live online stream to a specific voting page, from there the viewer will be allowed to vote for one song only. Sound of Data who are in charge of this years voting have setup controls to ensure that vote manipulation cannot take place.
