Finland: Softengine Are Off To Copenhagen

 

Softengine Have Won

The final of UMK 2014 has just finished in Finland tonight, the jury and public have selected Softengine with the song “Something Better” to represent Finland in Copenhagen. The winner tonight was decided by a jury as well as public vote which has seen SMS and online voting since Monday.

The acts that took part in tonight’s show were:

  1. Softengine – Something better – 38 jury – WINNER
  2. Hanna Sky – Hope – 19 jury
  3. MIAU – God/Drug – 32 jury – Third
  4. Lauri Mikkola – Going down – 23 jury
  5. MadCraft – Shining bright – 13 jury
  6. Mikko Pohjola – Sangyn reunalla – 35 jury – 2nd
  7. Clarissa ft. Josh Standing – On top of the world – 20 jury
  8. Hukka ja Mama – Selja – 38 jury

The show also saw an opening performance from Krista Siegfrieds who represented Finland in 2013 with the song “Marry Me”. Finland had started their selection back in December with the first reveal of the demo version of the shows, while last weekend saw the semi final selecting 6 of the 8 acts in the show this evening.
