Semi Finals To Be Dropped For 2014

NRK of Norway have revealed today that they will be changing the way that they run Melodi Grand Prix for Eurovision 2014. They have decided after 8 years of having semi finals to go back to a one night show, which will consist of just a final.

They have said that the build up shows for MGP will remain in place, however they will be focused more upon the final. This is all in an effort to make the final a bigger and better event than currently. It is not known yet how many acts will take part in the final, this will be announced later this year.
