Today Jon Ola Sand responded to questions over Kosovo possibly taking part in the 2013 contest in Sweden.ย โKosovo is not an active member of the EBU and as a result cannot take part in Eurovisionโ. For Kosovo to take part it must first be recognised by all UN member states as an independent nation, something that will not happen in the short term as Serbia, Spain and other nations do not recognise the country. Furthermore it would also have to be a full member nation of the council of Europe, this would then make EBU membership possible.
