From Estonia we travel south to Lithuania and once again in Belgrade we came across a song that to this day I call “depression in 3 minutes” If you don’t know the song then count yourself lucky, the artist is Jeronimas Milius and is called “Nomads In The Night”. The song won the Lithuanian national final by just over 400 votes. Now have fun as you watch Jeronimas in Belgrade:
You know from the moment that it starts that it’s not going to pick up any time soon. Also he looks very scary with leather trousers, long black hair and some elaborate knuckle dusters. For me I get very bored easily, it’s just so slow and does nothing. I don’t see how anyone can rate this song at all.
It’s like this weird mash-up of rock, opera and dullness. However we all have to love a bit of dry ice and moody fog to liven up the staging a bit. I can only say what were the other songs like for Lithuania to send this to Belgrade. Lithuania not surprisingly came 16th in their semi final with 30 points, 12 of which came from Latvia, 10 from the odd voting bloc of Georgia and 8 from the Lithuanian diaspora in the UK.
For 2008 what can we really say about the Baltic’s apart from what were you thinking, yes we have only seen Estonia but just wait a bit longer for Latvia to turn up in this series.
So to round-up, what have we learned today:

- Please at least liven it up at the end
- Don’t look so scary on stage
