Today, ERR, the Estonian broadcaster, announced the official dates for the Estonian Selection for Eurovision 2012. The national final is called Eesti Laul like last year and will have the same format as in 2011. In 2011 a total of 140 songs were collected by the broadcaster and 20 of them went through to the semifinals. After that 10 songs reached the Final and the top 2 got to the Eesti Laul Super Final.
The songs for 2012 can be submited until 12th of December and the qualifiers will be announced soon after. The Semifinals are scheduled on the 18th and 25th of February and the grand Final will be held on the 3rd of March. Heidy Purga, the Executive Producer of Eesti Laul, declared:
