The deadline for submitting songs for the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix passedyesterday and a total of 678 songs were entered according to Danish broadcasterDR. This is a rise of 15 songs over last year but we also see some familiarnames including One previous participant and one previous writer, Ivar LindGreiner who wrote the 2004 Danish entry and Neils Brinck who has submitted anumber of songs. He said “This year, I have submitted a couple of rocksongs. I hope they will make it to DMGP” He did not deny that he may singone of them if they get through. 
A committee will whittle down the songs to 6 or 7 from the 678 songs and DRwill then invite a further 3 to 4 acts through as wildcards to make 10 songs.Tickets for Januarys show in Aalborg on the 21st go on sale this Friday.
