It has been anounced on Russian media that the venue for Eurovision 2012 will be a 20,000 seater arena located off National Flag Square in Baku. Here is the full report from

For the contest Eurovision “ in 2012, Azerbaijan will build a new arena. It is reported with reference to reliable sources.

According to the report, to this end, the area near the flag will be built indoor arena provided for sports and concert events. Facilities will be designed at least 20 thousand spectators. Given that the contest will be held in May next year, the intensive construction work will begin soon, and the complex will be commissioned in time.

Location arena chosen to highlight a special guest.

Note that the previously held information about the possibility of Eurovision2012 at the national stadium im.T.Bahramova. This is explained by the fact that the stadium at 30,000 seats located in theheart of of the city ,and is considered the largest arena .

This is yet to be confirmed outside Azerbaijan or Russia, tyheir is expected to be meetings over the venue and hosting next year in Geneva with Ictimai Television sometime in June.
