Eurofestival News has confirmed this evening that Emma Marrone will be singing “La mia città” at Eurovision 2014. Emma was officially confirmed as the Italian Eurovision entrant by RAI on January 22, thus becoming the first act selected internally since Italy’s return in 2011.
Italy have returned to be a power house of the contest placing consistently within the top 10, since 2011. Last year Italy were represented by Marco Mengoni with “L’essenziale” which finished in 7th place with 126 points.

Now knowing what could and is in store for the other big 5 countries I wonder what the BBC have in store for us, Eurovision seems to be so quite this year in the UK/BBC, very few rumours or announcements.
