Spain: Soleá to Perform “Palante” at Junior Eurovision

RTVE has announced that Soleá will be performing the song “Palante” for Spain at Junior Eurovision 2020.

“Palante” is the song that will represent Spain at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The song which is described as urban pop is having its music video recorded today in Madrid. The song has a positive message and will be released to the public on the 7th of October, you can listen to the first minute of the song here.

The song that the young performer will be entirely in Spanish and is described by her as a happy song. The song has been written and produced by Bruno Valverde, ASHA & César G. Ross. All are established songwriters and producers having worked with some of the biggest names in Latin music. Among the artist they have worked with are Ricky Martin, Pastora Soler, Álvaro Soler and Álex Ubago.

Spain took part in the contest last year for the first time since 2006, where they finished in 3rd place with Melani Garcia’s “Marte”. The nation had appeared in the first 4 installments in the contest from 2003-2006, even winning the contest in 2004 with “Antes muerta que sencilla” by María Isabel before taking a long break from 2007-2018. Spain hold a very impressive track record in the contest with Melani retaining the success of the nation finishing top 5 in all 5 of their attempts.
