The songs which will be selected to take part in the final have been asked to be โ€œin trend with European music, but with Russian elementsโ€ to them. Furthermore they have confirmed that the Russian public will have a say in who will win the contest. The Press release states that โ€œOnly the public will select the winnerโ€, however the rules state a jury will also decided the winner.
