โRossiyaโ the Russian TV Channel in charge of Eurovision has revealed a new selection process for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. โKto?โ which translates as โWho?โ will be a 2 month long selection process that will see 25 songs chosen to take part in a final on December 31st.
The songs which will be selected to take part in the final have been asked to be โin trend with European music, but with Russian elementsโ to them. Furthermore they have confirmed that the Russian public will have a say in who will win the contest. The Press release states that โOnly the public will select the winnerโ, however the rules state a jury will also decided the winner.
We are waiting to see if this discrepancy is clarified.
