Liet International, the song contest for minority and regional languages across Europe will not be held in 2026.
The organisers of Liet International have confirmed to NRK that the competition will not be held in 2026. The contest, which has been held every other year since 2018, was scheduled to return this year, organisers confirmed that a host could not be found for this year. Tjallien Kalsbeek told NRK that the organisation is aiming to hold the contest again in 2027.
Liet International is a song contest for minority and regional languages across Europe and was first held in 2002. The 14th edition of Liet International took place in 2024 in Bastia, Corsica. The winner of the competition was Nani Vazana who performed in Ladino.
