Davit Lomidze has been selected to represent Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Ta’ Qali, Malta.



Following a six-stage selection process, Davit Lomidze secured first place after his performances across the series. Liliana Chachanidze and Zurab Naskidashvili also competed in the final. Davit was selected by a jury formed of Nato Metonidze, Davit Tsintsadze and Sopho Khalvashi who represented Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.
The song that Davit will perform at Junior Eurovision is unknown, but will be written, composed and revealed in the near future. Davit won the contest performing a cover of a song from the film “Good People” by Revaz Lagidze.

The Ranina trophy was presented to the winner by Anita Abgariani, who represented Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi, with the song “Shine Like a Star”. She achieved 2nd place with 176 points (121 and 55 points from juries and online public voting, respectively).
Georgia has won the contest on four occasions, making it the most successful country in the history of the contest. The country debuted in Junior Eurovision in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song “Odelia Ranuni”, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Georgia’s third victory came in 2016, when Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song “Mzeo”. Most recently, Andria Putkaradze won in 2024 with “To My Mom”.
