The Three Eurovision Contests Still to Come in 2026

With the final of the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest just hours away, there are still three more Eurovision contests to come later this year for you to follow.

Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 – June 6 – 🇦🇲 Yerevan, Armenia

Eurovision Young Musicians is a contest for musicians between the ages of 12 and 21. It has been held since 1982, as the first spin-off contest of the Eurovision Song Contest. The event celebrated its 20th edition in 2022, when Montpellier hosted the competition.

Marking its 22nd edition this year, eleven countries will travel to Yerevan, Armenia, to compete in this year’s contest. The contest is set to be held at the Yerevan Opera Theatre, with the winner being determined by a jury formed of:

• Eduard Belmar – Flutist
• Roman Simović – Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra
• Narek Hakhnazaryan – Cellist

• 🇷🇸 Serbia: RTS – Jana Jakovljević
• 🇸🇪 Sweden: SVT – Edward Ahlbeck Glader
• 🇨🇭 Switzerland: SRF – Manoush Toth

A total of 42 countries have competed over 21 editions of the contest. Austria is the most successful country, having won six editions and competed in 17 finals. Leonhard Baumgartner from Austria is the latest winner of the contest, taking victory in Bodø‎ in 2024.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 – October 24 – 🇲🇹 Malta

Malta will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 on October 24. The contest, which was first held in 2003, is open to young singers aged between 9 and 14 years old. During its 23-year history, 41 countries have competed in the contest, including the only appearance of Kazakhstan in a Eurovision contest.

The competition is set to be held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre with the winner being selected by jury and online voting. Twelve countries have won the competition to date with Georgia and France tied on four victories each in the contest. Lou Deleuze took victory for France in Georgia with “Ce monde”. Unlike the Eurovision Song Contest, the winning country does not automatically host the following year, with France opting to decline to host, and the EBU holding a bidding process.

Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 – November 14 – Bangkok, Thailand

The first Eurovision Asia Song Contest will be held on November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Like the Eurovision Song Contest, each country’s participation is organised by a participating broadcaster. Each participating broadcaster is expected to select its entry through holding a national final in their country. The format of the national selections will be revealed in the coming months, with some countries opting to hold multi-week selections.

The rules of the contest will match those of the Eurovision Song Contest, meaning that a song must not exceed 3 minutes in length and no more than 6 people can be on stage. The winner will be determined by 50% televoting and 50% jury voting.
