More details of Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 have been revealed during a press conference in the host city of Yerevan.
A press conference was held yesterday in Yerevan with Education, Science, Culture and Sports Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Public TV Company Executive Director Hovhannes Movsisyan discussing Eurovision Young Musicians 2026. The contest, which is less than a month away, will see 11 musicians from across Europe competing for victory.
As part of the press conference, it was revealed that the Armenian Government is supporting the hosting of the competition, which travels to Armenia for the first time. 750 million drams (1,744,000 Euro) have been allocated to support AMPTV in hosting the competition.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the show itself won’t just come live from within the Yerevab Opera Theatre. Mr Movsisyan explained that a section of the show is planned to take place on the roof of the Opera in the heart of Yerevan.
The jurors who will determine the winner of Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 were also revealed. They are:
- Julien Salemkour – Conductor
- Eduard Belmar – Flutist
- Roman Simović – Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra
- Narek Hakhnazaryan – Cellist
Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 will take place on June 6 in Yerevan, this is the first time that Eurovision Young Musicians has been hosted by Armenia, and the third time Yerevan has hosted a Eurovision competition.

- 🇷🇸 Serbia: RTS – Jana Jakovljević
- 🇸🇪 Sweden: SVT – Edward Ahlbeck Glader
- 🇨🇭 Switzerland: SRF – Manoush Toth
Eurovision Young Musicians
Eurovision Young Musicians is a contest for musicians between the ages of 12 and 21. It has been held since 1982, as the first spin-off contest of the Eurovision Song Contest. The event celebrated its 20th edition in 2022, when Montpellier hosted the competition.
A total of 42 countries have competed over 21 editions of the contest. Norway has competed in 20 out of the 21 contests, tied with Austria. Austria is the most successful country, having won six editions and competed in 17 finals. Leonhard Baumgartner from Austria is the latest winner of the contest, taking victory in Bodø in 2024.
