The 34th and final artists in our Who Is series for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 are Bzikebi from Georgia.
Bzikebi is a Georgian trio consisting of Giorgi Shiolashvili (born March 7 1998), Mariam Tatulashvili (born January 22 1998) and Mariam Kikuashvili (born April 5 1998). At just ten years old, Bzikebi won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008. Their song “Bzz..” picked up 154 points in total, and Bzikebi made history as the first group to win the contest and the first Georgian artists to win any Eurovision event.
Following their victory, the group released the album “Zabuzei”, and performed on the Junior Eurovision stage once more in 2010 as part of the interval act of previous winners. A year later, they made an appearance during the voting sequence in the 2011 contest in Yerevan. During this time, they performed in several festivals and shows across Georgia, before taking a break in 2012.
Bzikebi reunited five years later as they appeared at the opening ceremony at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Tbilisi, and as guests at the 2022 contest to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Junior Eurovision.
At Junior Eurovision 2025, held once more in Tbilisi, Bzikebi performed their song “We Don’t Sleep” as an interval act.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Bzikebi would represent Georgia at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest after being internally selected by Georgian broadcaster GPB. Their competing song “On Replay” was released a few months later. The song was written by Giga Kukhianidze, who has written multiple Georgian Junior Eurovision entries, including Georgia’s last two winning entries; “Mzeo” and “To My Mom”.
Bzikebi will perform in slot 6 in the first semi-final on May 12.
Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. They were represented by Sopho Khalvashi and the song “Visionary Dream”. Sopho finished 12th in the final scoring 97 points. The song received 12 points from the televoters in Lithuania. Their best result was a 9th place in both 2010 and 2011. Georgia has only ever missed one contest since their debut. This was in 2009, when they had selected Stephane & 3G with “We Don’t Wanna Put In”. The EBU asked the Georgian participants to rewrite the lyrics of the song or change the song completely.
