🇵🇱 Poland: Michał Stochel Selected for Eurovision Young Musicians 2026

Michał Stochel has been selected to represent Poland at Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 this June in Yerevan, Armenia.

The final of Młody Muzyk Roku 2026 took place last night as Poland selected their representative for Eurovision Young Musicians. Six musicians from across Poland competed in the final at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw.

Accordionist Michał Stochel was chosen as the overall winner and will go on to represent Poland at Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 on June 6. The results of the selection were as follows:

  • Paulina Długosz – cello
  • Jakub Derej – piano
  • Zoja Syguda – violin – Third
  • Lena Maruchacz – saxophone – Second
  • Antoni Serwa – trombone
  • Natan Supeł – marimba
  • Michał Stochel – accordion – First

The musicians performed with the Polish Radio Orchestra conducted by Anna Duczmal-Mróz. The winner was chosen by a jury formed of:

  • Arkadiusz Krupa
  • Agata Szymczewska
  • Adam Sztaba

Michał Stochel is from Zarębki and has been playing the accordion since the age of 7. He is currently a student of Artur Malawski State Music School Complex in Przemyśl and has won a series of competitions including the Grand Prix at the International Accordion Competition in Solec Kujawski.

Eurovision Young Musicians 2026

Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 will take place on June 6 in Yerevan, this is the first time that Eurovision Young Musicians has been hosted by Armenia, and the third time Yerevan has hosted a Eurovision competition.

  • 🇷🇸 Serbia: RTS – Jana Jakovljević
  • 🇸🇪 Sweden: SVT – Edward Ahlbeck Glader
  • 🇨🇭 Switzerland: SRF – Manoush Toth
