Veronica Fusaro has performed her entry for the Eurovision Song Contest on television for the first time.

Saturday evening saw Veronica Fusaro perform “Alice” on television for the very first time. The Swiss representative took to the stage on Happy Day on April 11, where she was a guest on the SRF 1 show. The performance comes just a few weeks before the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

Veronica Fusaro was selected to represent Switzerland at Eurovision 2026, having applied three times to represent the country. She and “Alice” were chosen through a multi-stage internal selection process. Veronica Fusaro will perform “Alice” seventh in the second semi-final on May 14.

Switzerland hosted the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 in Lugano, a contest that they also won. Lys Assia won the first contest with the song “Refrain”. It wasn’t until 1988 that Switzerland would win the contest again. Celine Dion won with “Ne partez pas sans moi” in Dublin. She beat the United Kingdom to victory by just 1 point. Switzerland won for a third time in 2024, represented by Nemo with “The Code”.
