Ahead of her appearance at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Sweden’s Felicia has released an acoustic version of her competing song.
Felicia has released “My System” (Acoustic Version) earlier this afternoon. The song was written by Felicia herself, alongside Audun Agnar, Emily Harbakk, Julie Bergan, and Theresa Rex. It holds the Melodifestivalen record for most foreign songwriters on one song, and debuted at number one in the Swedish charts on release earlier this year.
Felicia will perform in 2nd position in the first semi-final on May 12.
Who is Felicia?
Felicia Eriksson was born on 5 October 2001 in Tullinge, Sweden. The singer provided vocals for the character of Fröken Snusk, from 2022 until 2025. During this time, no one knew who was underneath the pink balaclava. At the 2024 edition of Melodifestivalen, Felicia (as Fröken Snusk) performed “Unga & fria” and went on to win the fourth season of the Masked Singer Sverige.
Earlier this year, she took part in Melodifestivalen 2026 with her song “My System”. Felicia won her heat, qualifying for the final, where she placed first in both the international juries and public vote, meaning that she would represent Sweden at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.
Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has gone on to be one of the contest’s most successful countries. The country has won the contest 7 times, tying with Ireland, the most recent being in 2023. Abba´s win in Brighton 1974 with the song “Waterloo” marked Sweden’s first victory. Since missing out on the final in 2010, the country has gone on to finish 3rd twice and has won the contest three times. Only in 2013 and 2021 did the country place outside of the top 10 in the final.
