The Pan Celtic Song Contest 2026 is set to be held on April 9 in Carlow, Ireland.
Contest organisers have announced that the 51st edition of the Pan Celtic Song Contest will be held on April 9 at the GB Shaw Theatre @ Visual in Carlow, Ireland. Participants from the six Celtic nations of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Brittany, Cornwall and the Isle of Man will compete for the title.
The acts that have been announced as competing to date are:
- Ireland – Dave Barron & Fiach Ó Muircheartaigh – “Dúlra scriosta” (Destroyed nature)
- Scotland – Pàdruig Morrison
- Wales – Sara Owen – “Y Gân” (The Song)
The show will be live streamed on Facebook from 20:30 CET, with the winner determined by jury voting from each of the participating nations. The winner will receive the Pan Celtic 2026 trophy and a cash prize of €1,500.
The Pan Celtic Song Contest has been held annually since 1971 and is part of the Pan Celtic Festival. The aim of the contest is to promote modern Celtic languages and cultures from the six Celtic nations.
