In an interview with the Albanian broadcaster RTSH, Alis has given some hints about what viewers can expect from his Eurovision performance.
Speaking to RTSH on Në Kohë Reale, the Albanian representative discussed how preparations for Eurovision are going as well as the reaction to his song “Nân”. Discussing the reaction to his song, Alis shared his surprise at the reach of “Nân” explaining that “I have received messages that have left me speechless. The experiences that people write to me in various forms…, I am very grateful”.
Looking ahead to the stage in Vienna, Alis confirms that his performance has completely changed compared to Festivali i Këngës and hints at his mother appearing:
“It will be different from Festivali i Këngës, but there will be some very exciting artistic elements. Will the mother be on stage? It depends”
“Nân” discusses the importance of motherhood, with Alis’ mother appearing as part of the official music video which was released earlier this month. Alis explained that when he asked her to appear in the video “Mom didn’t believe me, she said ‘are you sure’. I told her that in the most important part of the song I want to be you. Mom was very emotional, but she came and honored us with the clip”.
Alis won Festivali i Këngës 64 and will represent Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna with “Nân”. He was the favourite of both the jury and public voting at Festivali i Këngës 64. Find out more about Alis below:

Albania made its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004. Albania succeeded in their first showing with Anjeza Shahini’s “The Image of You”, finishing 7th in the final. Albania has competed in the Eurovision Song Contest every year since its debut. Since the success of their first appearance, they have reached the grand final a further 11 times. They bettered their 2004 score in 2012 with Rona Nishliu’s song “Suus”, which finished in 5th place with 146 points. This was their first time reaching the top 5 and their best placing to date.
