๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Finland: Erika Vikman to Perform “FATHER (I Will Never Confess)” at UMK 2026

Yle has announced that Erika Vikman will return to the UMK stage with her latest song “FATHER (I Will Never Confess)”.

As the Finnish selection for Vienna draws closer, Yle has revealed that last year’s winner will return to the UMK stage. Erika will be performing “FATHER (I Will Never Confess)” for audiences in Tampere. Speaking about her return, she told Yle:

“It is a great honour, and truly moving, to return to the UMK stage one more time. With this performance, I want to thank UMK and the incredible community that has formed around it, which over the years helped shape me into the artist I am today. I got to go to Eurovision with you, and I will never forget that! ICH KOMME FOREVER MOTHER F*CKERS!”

In addition, Yle has teased that a well-known international guest will feature as part of the show. Looking ahead to the live shows, Yle will once again provide commentary in multiple languages. Commentary will be provided by:

  • Jakko Oleander – English
  • Linda Tammela – Northern Sรกmi
  • Heli Huovinen – Inari Sรกmi
  • Galyna Sergeeva – Ukrainian
  • Levan Tvaltvadze – Russian

UMK 2026 will take place on February 28 in Nokia Arena in Tampere. The winner will represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. UMK will be held in Tampere for the fifth time and in the Nokia Arena, the largest indoor arena in Finland, for the third time. The show will be hosted by Sami Sykkรถ, Jorma Uotinen, and Jasmin Beloued.

Erika Vikman represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with โ€œIch kommeโ€. Finland finished 11th in the final scoring 196 points. Finland received 12 points from the Austrian jury and received 10 points from the public in Sweden, Australia and Estonia.

Finland first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961. They debuted alongside Spain and Yugoslavia. Finland has finished last in the contest on 10 occasions and has received โ€˜nul pointsโ€™ three times. It wasnโ€™t until 2006 that Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi represented the country in Athens with the song โ€œHard Rock Hallelujahโ€ scoring 292 points, a record total at the time.
