Speaking to Eurovoix following the final of Dora 2026, Lelek have confirmed that “Andromeda” will remain in Croatian for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Speaking following their victory in Dora 2026, Lelek confirmed to Eurovoix that they will be keeping “Andromeda” in Croatian for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. This will be the 17th time that Croatia has sent a song to the competition fully in Croatian since their debut in the contest in 1993, and their first entry in the language since 2023.
In the interview with Lelek, we discuss what the group learned from their first Dora experience, their latest member, their song “Andromeda” and looking ahead to Vienna.
A total of 16 acts competed for the Croatian ticket to Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, Austria. All of the acts qualified from one of two semi-finals, which were held on February 12 and 13. The results were decided by a combination of four Croatian juries located in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, and Osijek (25%), four international juries from San Marino, Luxembourg, Norway, and the United Kingdom (25%), and public voting (50%).

Lelek will compete in the first half of the first semi-final on May 12.
Croatia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. They were one of three countries to debut in the contest that year. Croatia’s best result came in 2024 when Baby Lasgana finished 2nd in Malmö. He performed the song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” which scored a total of 547 points, including 12 points from the juries in Cyprus and Serbia, and 9 sets of 12 points from the public vote. Croatia returned to the contest in 2016 having withdrawn after the 2013 contest due to a string of poor results and financial difficulties.
