🇷🇴 Romania: Selecția Națională 2026 – Song Submissions Close – 22:59 CET

Today is the last day for songs to be submitted to represent Romania on its return to the Eurovision Song Contest.

It’s the last day for Romanian singers and songwriters to submit their songs to represent their country in Vienna this May. Romania will choose an artist and an entry for Eurovision 2026 through Selecția Națională. The final will take place on March 4. Below is the timeline of the selection, as illustrated by TVR:

• First step: registration to Selecția Națională. Registrations for artists are open from January 14 until February 2 on Eurovision Romania’s webpage.
• Second step: pre-selections. They will take place on February 5 and 6.
• Third step: semi-final auditions. They will take place from February 9 to 11. A specialised jury will choose the 10 songs that will compete in the final of Selecția Națională for a ticket to Vienna.
• Fourth step: the Final. It will take place on March 4. The winner will be selected by a jury-only vote, and they will earn the right to represent Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Romania will perform in the first half of the second semi-final, on May 14.
