Dziesma tuvplānā has continued as it brings fans closer to the acts competing in Supernova 2026.
Dziesma tuvplānā (Song close-up) continues on the Supernova YouTube page, as the Latvian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 draws closer. The series will see each of the 24 participants interviewed, with the acts asked about their musical careers and background, their competing songs and more.
You can now watch episodes with thirteen of the artists competing in the contest on YouTube. The interviews are in Latvian, but they can be translated using YouTube’s translated captions. Supernova 2026 will commence on January 31 with the first of two semi-finals.

Across the two semi-finals, 10 entries will qualify for the final. A wildcard can also be awarded to one entry that did not originally qualify for the final, enabling 11 entries to compete in the final.
Tautumeitas represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Bur man laimi”. Latvia finished 13th in the final scoring 158 points, including 12 points from the juries of Denmark, Lithuania and the United Kingdom, and 12 points from the public in Lithuania. This was Latvia’s best result in the contest since 2015.
