The first details of Anita Abgariani’s performance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 have been revealed.
Speaking on the GPB Morning Show, Natia Uznadze revealed that Anita Abgariani will not be alone on stage for her performance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The performance has been staged by Kakha Bukhrashvili who directed the music video for Anita’s entry and the Georgian entry for Eurovision 2025. The staging is by Giorgi Toriashvili, who has past Eurovision and Junior Eurovision experience, and her costume is designed by Iza Nadareishvili.
Anita Abgariani will perform “Shine Like a Star” in front of a home crowd in Tbilisi at Junior Eurovision 2025. The song was composed by Giga Kukhianidze, with lyrics by Giga Kukhianidze and Mariam Ghvaladze. Giga Kukhianidze is one of the most prolific songwrtiers in Junior Eurovision history, having written the Georgian Junior Eurovision entries in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025. Mariam Ghvaladze won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 for Georgia as part of Candy. Find out more about Anita below:
Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025
A total of eighteen countries will compete in this year’s contest with the return of Azerbaijan, Croatia and Montenegro to the competition. Junior Eurovision 2025 will be held on December 13 at 17:00 CET in Tbilisi, after Andria Putkaradze gave Georgia their record-breaking fourth victory with “To My Mom”. The show will be broadcast on a Saturday for the second year in a row.

Georgia has won the contest on four occasions, making it the most successful country in the history of the contest. Georgia debuted in Junior Eurovision in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song “Odelia Ranuni”, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Georgia’s third victory came in 2016, when Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song “Mzeo”. Most recently, Andria Putkaradze won in 2024 with “To My Mom”.
