Tonight, the host country of Georgia continues its search for their representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
Ranina continues this evening with the second episode of the first round of Ranina 2025. Across the next few weeks, ten singers will be competing to represent their country in Tbilisi.
In the first two episodes, the ten finalists will each perform with the ensembles Ezidkatsa and Teatrulis Kvarteti. They will then be scored by a three-member jury, which consists of permanent judges and a guest judge. The permanent judges are Dato Evgenidze and Nato Metonidze. For the first round of the contest, the guest judge will be Sopho Khalvashi, who represented Georgia on their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007.
The five singers performing in tonight’s episode of Ranina are:
- Mariam Muzashvili – 9 years old
- Sandro Abesadze – 11 years old
- Anita Abgariani – 10 years old
- Lazare Kapanadze – 11 years old
- Nia Lashkhia – 11 years old
Ranina is held across multiple stages. In the first phase, there are four rounds of performances with each round focused on a different style. The five acts that received the highest scores across the four rounds qualify for the semi-final. In the semi-final, the top three singers will qualify for the final. The winner will represent Georgia on home ground at Junior Eurovision 2025 in Tbilisi.

🇮🇪 Ireland: Junior Eurovision Éire 2025 – Episode One – 20:30 CEST
Junior Eurovision Éire, the Irish selection show for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, commences this evening.
In the first show, ten singers will be selected from auditions, which were held in Athlone, Cork and Dublin earlier this year. In next week’s show, the competition will then heat up with the singers competing for their spots in the next round.
The results of all rounds will be decided by a jury of three permanent judges and one guest judge. Returning as permanent judges are broadcaster Niamh Ní Chróinín and singer Tadhg Ó Gríofa. Joining the panel as a permanent judge this year is Hugh Carr, a broadcaster who currently appears on RTÉ 2fm.
