Tonight, the Portuguese representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be chosen.
The final of The Voice Kids 2025 takes place this evening, with eight singers competing to represent Portugal at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. After four months of shows, the winner of the sixth series of The Voice Kids Portugal will be chosen this evening, with the singer going on to compete in Tbilisi, Georgia, this December.
The eight finalists are:
- Carlos Abreu
- Martim Ferreira
- Rubén Correia
- Matilde Azevedo
- Inês Gonçalves
- Maria Vinagre
- Lara Martins
- João Oliveira
The final will be held in two parts. During the first part, all eight finalists will perform, with the judges selecting one singer from their team to progress to the final four. In the final four, the singers will perform again with the winner chosen.
RTP confirmed in early April that The Voice Kids winner will represent Portugal in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The show has been used by RTP to select the Portuguese representative in Junior Eurovision since 2021. However, this is the first time RTP has confirmed its use as the selection so early.
Victoria Nicole represented Portugal at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “Esperança”. She finished 2nd in the final with 213 points. Portugal was 4th with the jury scoring 96 points and 1st with the online vote scoring 117 points.
The final will be on RTP 1 from 22:15 CEST and will conclude at 01:35 CEST. You can watch the show live here.

Portugal debuted at the 2006 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Bucharest. The country placed second-last tin 2006 and 2007 and withdrew in 2008. They did not return until 2017, when they were represented by Mariana Venâncio, who placed 14th with her song “YouTuber”. In 2024, Victoria Nicole finished 2nd in the competition for Portugal, its best-ever result in the contest.
