SRG SSR, the Swiss national broadcaster, has announced that the song submission window for Eurovision 2026 will open on August 4.
The submission window for the Swiss selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will open on August 4 at 9:00 CEST, and will remain open until 23:00 CEST on August 25. Artists, producers, songwriters and lyricists are all invited to submit entries. These entries will not be released publicly.
Once the submission window closes, several auditions rounds will take place to determine the Swiss entry for Eurovision 2026. Just like last year, a Swiss audience jury, an international audience jury and an international expert jury will decide the results of each round. The international expert jury will comprise of 25 people who have previously served as members of their countries’ national juries during Eurovision.
The winning song and act will be revealed in early 2026.
Zoë Më represented Switzerland at Eurovision 2025 on home ground in Basel with “Voyage”. She finished 10th in the Grand Final with 214 points. All of Switzerland’s points came from the jury, with Switzerland receiving 12 points from Estonia, Poland and Spain.

Switzerland hosted the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 in Lugano, a contest that they also won. Lys Assia won the first contest with the song “Refrain”. It wasn’t until 1988 that Switzerland would win the contest again. Celine Dion won with “Ne partez pas sans moi” in Dublin. She beat the United Kingdom to victory by just 1 point. Switzerland won for a third time in 2024, represented by Nemo with “The Code”.
