RTCG, the Montenegrin broadcaster, has announced that it will be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
Montenegro is set to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in a decade. RTCG has announced its participation in this year’s contest in Tbilisi, marking its first appearance in the contest since 2015.
RTCG has not stated yet how it will select its participant and song for the competition. In its two previous participations in the contest, RTCG internally selected their entry for the competition. Montenegro is the second returning nation in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, joining Croatia back on the Junior Eurovision stage.
Montenegro has previously participated in Junior Eurovision twice. In 2014, the nation debuted and was represented by Maša Vujadinović and Lejla Vulić with the song “Budi dijete na jedan dan”, who finished 14th in the final scoring a total of 24 points. They last participated in 2015, where they finished 13th with a total of 36 points.
Junior Eurovision 2025
Junior Eurovision 2025 will be held on December 13 in Tbilisi after Andria Putkaradze gave Georgia their record-breaking fourth victory with “To My Mom”.
A number of countries have either confirmed their participation in Junior Eurovision 2025 or signalled their intention to compete. These countries are:

In addition, Lithuania is examining their return to the competition in 2025. Estonia and Germany have both withdrawn from the competition. The following broadcasters have confirmed they have no plans to return:

Montenegro has participated twice in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In 2014, the nation debuted as an independent nation. Maša Vujadinović and Lejla Vulić represented Montenegro on their debut with the song “Budi dijete na jedan dan”. They finished 14th in the final, scoring 24 points. They last participated in 2015, where Jana Mirković finished 13th with “Oluja”. Montenegro will return to Junior Eurovision this year.
