🇸🇮 Slovenia: Eurovision 2025 Final Viewer Interest Falls By Over 40%

RTVSLO has reported the viewing figures for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 for the Slovenian audience.

During the course of the three Eurovision Song Contest live broadcasts, 742,300 Slovenians watched at least one minute of the contest. Semi-Final One was watched by an average of 144,700 viewers with an audience rating 7.5%, interest peaked at 260,100 viewers when Klemen performed. Semi-Final Two was viewed by 49,700 viewers, with an audience rating of 2.6%.

For the Grand Final on May 17, an average of 150,400 viewers watched the show with an audience rating of 7.8%. The number of viewers for the final was down by nearly 45% compared to 2024 when Slovenia qualified for the Grand Final.

In addition to announcing the viewing figures recorded by RTVSLO, the broadcaster also confirmed it will be sending questions to the EBU regarding this year’s contest. And reiterates its call to reconsider the countries that can perform at the contest.

Slovenia placed 13th in Semi-Final One of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Klemen represented the country with “How Much Time Do We Have Left”, scoring a total of 23 points. Slovenia’s highest points came in the form of 8 points from the Sammarinese jury.

Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia. Seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 30 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995, when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points. She is closely followed by Nuša Derenda, who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
