Belgium recorded its lowest combined viewing figures for a Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final since 2014.
Following Red Sebastian being eliminated in the semi-finals, Belgium recorded its lowest audience for a Eurovision Song Contest final in over 10 years. A total of 952,634 viewers watched the final across Belgium on La Une and VRT 1.
La Une recorded an audience of 289,623 viewers, its lowest figures since 2021. VRT 1 saw 663,011 viewers for its broadcast, the lowest recorded since 2014, when Belgium also failed to qualify for the final. Telepro reports that 51,489 Belgians were watching France 2’s broadcast of the final.
Overall viewing figures for Eurovision 2025 in Belgium were:

- Semi-Final One (VRT) – 914,210 viewers
- Semi-Final Two (RTBF) – 159,685 viewers
- Semi-Final One (VRT) – 394,274 viewers
- Grand Final (RTBF) – 289,623 viewers
- Grand Final (VRT) – 663,011 viewers
Red Sebastian represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Strobe Lights”. He placed 14th in Semi-Final One, scoring 23 points. Belgium received 12 points from the Sammarinese jury.

Belgium was one of the seven nations who participated in the first edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. To date, the country has won the contest only once in 1986. Sandra Kim won the contest with the song “J’aime la vie”. Her victory was not without controversy when it emerged that Sandra was just 13 years old, two years younger than the age restriction at the time. In the late 00s, Belgium struggled in the contest, failing to reach the final annually from 2005 until 2010, when Tom Dice finished 6th in the final with 143 points. Belgium has finished last at the contest eight times, including two sets of nul points.
