Ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, we had the opportunity to speak to Zoë Më, who will represent Switzerland.

We spoke with Zoë Më in Basel about the message of “Voyage” and the choice to film her performance in a continuous shot. As well as her best tips on what to do when in Basel, from someone who was born in the city.

Who is Zoë Më?

Zoë Anina Kressler known professionally as Zoë Më was born on 6th October 2000 in this year’s host city Basel, Switzerland. Zoë grew up in the bilingual canton Fribourg, and this mix of languages has greatly influenced her music. Learn more about Zoë below:

Switzerland hosted the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956, a contest that they also won. Lys Assia won the first contest with the song “Refrain”. It wasn’t until 1988 that Switzerland would win the contest again. At the contest in Dublin, it was Celine Dion with “Ne partez pas sans moi” who beat the United Kingdom to victory by just 1 point. Switzerland won for a third time in 2024 represented by Nemo with “The Code”.
